Butterfly Project
This is my butterfly project for the poem “The Garden.” There are many tags that are here to show what many of the random objects on the board are there for and what there are supposed to represent.

Stay or Leave?
”What would you do if you had to choose.” Mia she had everything she could ever want, a loving family, a great boyfriend, and a musical career ahead of her. But that was before she got in a car crash. She has to choose to live or to die, to stay or to leave, she stuck remembering how happy her past was, but not knowing what her future will be. Mia has two parents and one younger brother but she doesn’t know what has happened to her brother and she can’t ask since no one can hear or see her. “If I Stay” by Gayle Forman is a great book where Mia sees what’s happening to her after she gets in a car crash, she’s not really in her body anymore but she can’t go through walls like ghost since she’s not really dead. The book gets told in two parts, the first part is when she gets in the car crash and what is happening, it gets signaled by a time stamp. While the other part is about stories of her past and these are signaled by leaf like things. “If I Stay” was such a good book and it is very good at building up suspense since as things are about to happen sometimes they switch to the past. My favorite part is probably towards the end where she starts questioning if she should just let go or stay because it’s a really emotional part. If you had to choose would you live a life without your family or let go and die with them?

This Song Will Save Your Life
“You think it’s so easy to change yourself.” That’s the first line in the book and it’s really interesting that since that is what the book is about. The book I read was “This Song Will Save Your Life” by Leila Sales. The books main character is Elise she is a social outcast who doesn’t really have any friends and is in high school, she has two half siblings but her parents are divorced. At the beginning she cuts herself and calls a girl name Amelia but she calls the police on her and that causes Elise to hate her. This was very interesting since that’s something big to do, she cuts herself with in the first two chapters. But a few months after this she discovers this party called Start and meets Mel Pippa Vicky and Char. Elise starts taking DJ lessons from Char but that’s when she finds out there’s someone pretending to be her online and writing a blog about how Elise feels when in fact it isn’t Elise. During the time skip Elise got two friends and they believe they she’s writing all the posts. But Elise starts to fall in love with Char but Pippa is also in love with him but Vicky says he isn’t good news. This book is just very eventful and it was a very good book in my opinion but I wish I could say my favorite part of the book but I can’t without spoiling it. But do you think it’s easy to change who you are?

Wherever Nina Lies
So a book I just finished reading was “Wherever Nina Lies” by Lynn Weingarten. This was such an interesting book since it starts off with us being introduced to the main character Ellie but the ending is such a plot twist. The book revolves around Ellie Wrigley she was the younger sister of Nina but two years ago Nina went missing and Ellie wants to find her. Ellie finds a clue in a storage room that’s in her house and goes on an adventure with Sean. Sean is someone Ellie meets at a party and he knows what Ellie is going through since he lost his brother due to an overdose. They both fall in love with each other the first three days of the trip but something happens that changes that. My favorite part of the book would probably have to be Thirty Seven since that’s when something really bad yet intersting happens between the two. This book was so interesting especially the last fifteen chapter, in the last fifteen chapters I felt so many emotions. If any of your family meant missing for two years would you try and see if you could find them yourself?

Dead Upon A Time
A book I just finished reading was Dead Upon a Time it was written by Elizabeth Paulson. The book is fairly short with only 211 pages, but it’s a really good book. The book is about a girl name Kate Hood and her friend Jack, the king wants them to find their daughter since she was taken, but she was the only one taken. Kate’s grandma was also taken but no body knows who or what took them. Kate is an outcast since she’s an uncommon since her grandma knows magic, and Jack is also an outcast since everyone wants him in jail or dead since he sold his town for beans, that grew a beanstalk that lead to a giants place. In my opinion I thought this book was really good since it had a major plot twist about who took all those people.

Independence
Independence, it’s not something we all have or it could be something we have to much of. Being independent means we can mostly on ourselves and we rarely need to rely on someone else. To me I’m one of those people who doesn’t have a lot of independence, I rely mostly on my friends rather then myself. I tend to think others peoples judgement is better then my own so I have a hard time just being on my own. Why I want to be more independent is because I will be the only person who is one hundred percent going to stay with me, no matter what happens to me. Me wanting independence is to also prove to myself that I am strong enough to be able to be on my own and that I can’t rely on myself. Living with this word for 2018 will hopefully change my life and make me a stronger person, and it shows that I can be solve my own problems and not need anyone’s help 24/7, so I can prove to myself that I can solve my own problems.

The House for me
I already know what my perfect house would be. The perfect house for me would have to be made out of wood, with a big kitchen with a marble countertop. It would be big so I have a lot of space to cook and bake. But also big so I can have dog bowls there for two small dogs. I would probably have a second room as a guest room so if any family comes over, or if a friend needs a place to stay. I would also have a study room since I would have to do a lot of reading to be informed on how I can improve my surgical techniques, and what surgeries are going world wide. But my room would probably have a big bed in the middle with a desk that has pictures of me with my friends all over it. With all of these features in this house it would make my future house perfect.
